We choose South American Heirloom Cacao for it's perfect balance of fruity, floral high notes & nutty undertones. We source Certified Organic Cacao from regenerative farms that support lush, freen, ecological diversity. All of our farming partners are paid Fair Trade wages or above.
A Clean Label Craving
Keeping in mind those with food sensitivities, from our truffles to our drinking chocolates, everything is vegan, gluten-free, dairy free, soy-free, peanut-free & refined sugar-free. We strive to make chocolate that is not only delicious but also nourishing for the body and the planet. We are an Employee-Owned, Certified Climate Neutral company.
In the midst of the recession, Coracao is born and we debut our chocolates in NorCal Whole Food's bakery departments!
The Berkeley Bar, a first of it's kind, plant-based double layer caramel nougat bar is created!
Coracao Merges with CACOCO Drinking Chocolate and shares ownership with employees!
